I have the US edition SNES Classic and bought this just so I had Japanese language ROMs to play instead on occasion.Whether you just want it as a collectors item or want childhood classics to augment your language learning, SFC/SNES is great either way.Good gameplay, and sentences with more dignity than “see spot run” or “I wear hat”.

Great unit. Love the SF controllers. Can be converted to English through 3rd party software if desired. No power supply included, but can be powered by most television USB ports. I’m not sure of the technical legalities of such, but if you own an NES classic or Famicom classic you can convert the unit to boot both systems in one (and add additional games etc.) Though I’m sure most will prefer to keep it stock and learn to read Japanese, right?
